MAR 2025
The VOLUMINEX project has started! Benedetta and Delilah attended the kick-off meeting in Stockholm. We are looking forward to work with this international team to make 3D spatial transcriptomics possible.
NOV 2024
We are proud to be part of the VOLUMINEX consortium, which received a Pathfinder Open grant from the European Innovation Council (EIC)! This international network combines Benedetta’s & Delilah’s expertise in biology with chemistry (KI, KTH, Single Technologies, Sweden) and mathematics (SU, France) to develop a novel 3D spatial transcriptomics technique applicable to organoids and tissue.

Benedetta has been elected as a member of the EMBO Young Investigator Program!
Several members of the lab attended the Brain Center Research Day in Utrecht. Delilah presented the lab’s latest work on our FeBO model. Roxy and Francesco both pitched their PhD work!

Benedetta attended the 31st annual ESGCT congress in Roma and gave a talk about our recent work on human brain organoids to study aspects of development and cancer.
OCT 2024
Benedetta and Delilah attended the CRISPR screening in cancer discovery 2024 meeting at Curie Institute in Paris. Both Delilah and Benedetta gave a talk about CRISPR applied to human organoids and our recent CRISPR screening efforts in the context of fatty liver disease. Two talks, double the fun!

Benedetta and Delilah attended the International Society for Developmental Neuroscience (ISDN) 2024 meeting in Montpellier. Benedetta presented the lab’s latest efforts developing human brain organoid models and their use to unravel aspects of development.
Benedetta and Delilah attended the meeting “Genome Editing: from basic principles to applied science” at Novo Nordisk Foundation in Copenhagen. Benedetta presented our latest efforts to combine CRISPR with organoids to build powerful human disease models.
JUNE 2024
Delilah received a Young Investigator Grant from the Dutch Cancer Society (KWF). We are very excited to explore the connection between fatty liver, metabolism, and liver cancer.

Another successful edition of OrganoidNL, where Francesco, Anna and Roxy presented their work as poster presentations, and a flash talk for Francesco. Looking forward to organize the future editions!
